Where's Lake Wales, Florida?

See where we are on the map, and some information about the area

With a population of over 10,000, Lake Wales is an evolving community. We now have three Zip Codes, our own Mall, Super Wal-Mart, three McDonalds, and several golf courses if you like that sort of thing.

The biggest industry for Lake Wales is citrus. If your O.J. Carton says "Florida's Natural" on it, it came from our town. Hope you like it.

In contributing to the States' tourist attractions, Lake Wales is known for the famous "Singing Bok Tower Gardens", and the legendary "Spook Hill" where you put your car in neutral and it will roll backwards up hill!
general area

As you can see from the two maps on the right, Lake Wales is right in the middle of the state. This is advantageous to us as we are always "half-way" to any popular destination.

Being just sixty miles away from Tampa and fifty miles from Orlando we can visit the big theme parks regularly.

Lake Wales is located on one of the highest ridges that runs down the middle of Florida. Ham Radio Operators rely on the higher altitude to carry their radio transmissions farther.
