Time
to completion
|
This is
where you the customer and KLM-TECH have always had a harmonious relationship.
We know that our customers appreciate taking care of the quick fixes
right away. We have found that our customers are considerate when a
piece of equipment is reported to be in need of time consuming work.
They tell us "No hurry." Thanks!
If it's something small like a solder connection, stop by and we will
take care of it right then or have it ready for pickup later on in the
day. If you call before visiting, we can tell you when to bring your
little project by and may be able to repair it while you wait.
When parts need to be ordered, the turn around time is still fairly
quick. Typically two to three weeks time for completion, and testing
of repaired equipment. Of course if parts are backordered it may take
longer. If we cannot locate replacement parts after searching for about
two weeks, equipment will be returned as non-repairable.
|
| Deposit
on items / Estimate fees |
All equipment
sent in for an estimate, must include a $20.00 non-refundable
estimate fee.
If the estimate given is accepted, The $20.00 deposit will be
applied towards the total repair bill. As estimates derived from
diagnosis are almost half of the repair service, we appreciate
your understanding. Many times we have to order parts just to
further diagnosis. This can often take $20 or more. In no way
do we get rich form a $20 deposit.
Sorry, no quick
guesstimates or "About how much to repair..."Florida
lightning" has taught us well that failures are unpredictable.
Please see our current fees schedule for
more deatils.

| Written estimate
for insurance claims |
After
diagnosing your equipment we will prepare a written estimate for you
to submit to your insurance company. The written estimate fee is currently
$35.00 per item. Check with your insurance company for reimbursement
of the estimate.
Are you sure your policy covers radios?
We have recently discovered that some Insurance companies are not covering
radio equipment. Please check your Insurance policy thoroughly. Below
is an actual response from an Insurance company on a radio equipment
claim. This may give you an idea what to look for.
" Please
be advised, no coverage can be afforded for the damaged radios due to
the following policy exclusion, Section I Property Not Covered states:
We do not cover:
12. citizens band radios, car phones, radio transceivers, radio transmitters,
radar detectors, antennas and other similar equipment. This exclusion
does not apply to antennas attached to a covered building. "

Warranty
on parts and labor
|
As
with anything really, this varies. Parts warranty varies from manufacturer
to manufacturer. With labor warranty we go by "what feels right".
Usually, if it's the same failure in the same way again within six months
we will take care of the labor cost. If the labor warranty period is
shorter than six months, it will be stated on the bill.
|
| Payments
accepted |
We
accept Checks and US Postal Money Orders. Checks must clear before
item is released for shipping. A money order would be the faster
way to go.
Due to high processing fees by the card companies, we no longer
accept payments by credit cards. We do not wish to pass these
fees onto customers in the form of higher repair bills. We apologize
for any inconveniences.
|
| Return
shipment methods and handling charges |
We seek the least expensive route and insure items being returned
to you. Usually, FedEx is the cheapest way to go.
After proof of shipment (send you a tracking number), we are not
responsible for carriers losing any items. We will not replace
any items by lost by a carrier. This is why we insure each item.
Only actual cost of shipping applies. Ther are no 'handling charges'.
